This 2024, Sentro and Hilton Brussels Grand Place have the honour of exhibiting, “Unexpected Encounters” by François Coorens. He invites viewers into a dynamic world through his artwork where colours, graphics, bodies, and words intertwine to create an unmatched experience, reflecting a society driven by desires and nostalgia for mass media icons.
The Belgian artist discovered his unique style, heavily influenced by pop, punk, and rock, unexpectedly when he accidentally spilled paint on a canvas leading to the revelation of his true artistic voice. His vibrant and proactive artworks are characterized by figurative elements and deconstruction, blending inspiration from television, cinema, and tabloids onto large canvases. His captivating artworks never fail to enthral and surprise audiences, offering a fresh perspective on contemporary culture.
There will be around 50 artworks featuring a wide variety of Belgian and international icons, Star Wars characters, and thought-provoking abstract pieces, which will be exclusively exhibited at Sentro and all around Hilton Brussels Grand Place.
Through close collaboration with Head Chef, Vincent Masson, Sentro is proud to offer guests the opportunity to try “art on the plate” through the artist’s favourite dish, Endive and Beef Cheek Parmentier, which has quickly become a best seller. François’s favourite cocktail, Mezcal Negroni, and Spicy Apple mocktail can also be enjoyed from the bar. To complete the experience, guests are also invited during their visit to discover the complete exhibition around the hotel and take pictures with the art.

Head Chef Vincent Masson, a Normandy native, has spent his career in France and all over Europe, learning local traditions and techniques along the way.
He calls Sentro an opportunity to share his culinary emotions and to combine his creativity and experience, personally selecting seasonal, local, and high quality ingredients.
